Collaborative Working - Calling Out For Community Partners

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

Here at Open Lens Media we are passionate about connecting young people to their local communities and raising awareness of all the opportunities that are available to them. We understand the importance of bringing services together, who are each specialists in their own area, to create the best experience for the young people on our projects and programmes. In doing this we enrich the learning for our young people and help them to discover the work that is happening within their communities.

Throughout our years, we have had the pleasure of working with many different organisations including youth and education services, media specialists, charities, grassroots and community organisations who have all shared an insight into the incredible work they do.

By working with community partners, we've been able to connect young people to organisations/services which they may have typically struggled to access. This access is critical when giving a voice to young people so that they feel included in the conversations that ultimately affect them and the communities that they live in. We aim to reduce this disconnect between young people and local businesses/services/organisations etc. through community partnership as it is crucial for when identifying and addressing the local needs of the area and the needs of its young people.

In becoming a community partner, you will be able to raise awareness on the work you do and help to raise the aspirations of our young people. Community partners can support us by hosting days at your organisation, delivering masterclasses or seminars, guest speaking, providing materials or resources, offering work experience opportunities to our young people and much more!

If this sounds like something that you would be interested in then please get in touch as we would love to hear from you and grow our network of partners in our community!
